The Techiman Water Supply Rehabilitation and Expansion Project will commence soon after the completion of the feasibility study and project site design.
This was revealed by the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah.
Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah stated this in Parliament when responding to a question posed by Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, MP for Techiman South.
Hon. Adjei-Mensah Korsah wanted to know the current status and scope of the Techiman Water Supply Rehabilitation and Expansion Project under the Korea Economic Development Cooperation Fund loan.
According to the minister, the evaluation of the technical proposals of the shortlisted companies has been completed and no objections have been raised by the Korean Exim Bank which granted the loan of US$100 million for the project.
She added that the opening of the financial proposal of the company that won the technical proposal has also been completed and contract award is underway for the consultant to come to the site to undertake a detailed feasibility study. and design work for the project.
