Airports Director Jesus Saenz presented the San Antonio City Council with a $2.5 billion terminal development program on May 18 for improvements at San Antonio International Airport (SAT), according to a Press release from the city. The program includes the design and construction of a third terminal for the airport, as well as a ground transportation hub, a parking garage and the realignment of terminal roads.
“This is an investment in the future of our city and in our economic growth. Our ultimate goal is to improve the passenger experience,” Saenz said in the statement. “We are going to be the airport of the future. This will be the airport that the entire San Antonio community will be proud of.
