First Studio Acquisition for Private Division Brings the Rich Developmental Talent, Creativity and Style of Beloved OlliOlli Designers to Label
NEW YORK – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), today announced the acquisition of video game developer Roll7. The London-based BAFTA-winning studio is currently developing OlliOlli World which will be released by Private Division and slated to launch this winter during Take-Two’s fiscal fourth quarter ending March 31, 2022. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2008 by Simon Bennett, John Ribbins and Tom Hegarty, Roll7 is a multi-award winning studio that is best known for the OlliOlli series. The studio is currently working on the next OlliOlli World and have other unannounced projects in development. Private Division will support these future efforts and allow Roll7 to continue to create its “streaming game” experiences that embody its distinctive style and ability to achieve commercial and critical success.
