The Harris County Flood Control District will begin construction of a maintenance project in the Cypress Creek watershed.
The project includes the construction of a reinforced concrete spillway as well as a stilling pond along approximately 400 feet of open channel starting at Old Ranch Road in northern Harris County, according to a notice. HCFCD construction.

The project is expected to begin this fall, with an estimated construction time of 345 days, the notice said. The total cost of the project is expected to be close to $ 1.2 million, with the work going to Solid Bridge Construction.
The HCFCD encourages drivers to be aware of truck traffic when driving near construction access points and truck routes.
