DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
About the role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced software developer to join Haringey Council’s Data and Digital Services Development team.

In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support software development, either individually for smaller system changes or with colleagues on medium to large/complex systems, depending on experience.

You will produce detailed designs from supplied specifications using agreed methods and tools to develop well-designed products that meet the digital service standard and are documented accordingly.

About you
You are experienced in working across the entire software development life cycle, from design to testing. You can demonstrate a good understanding of current developments in the application of information systems.

We are looking for someone with good web development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or PHP. This person will develop and support forms and applications built using a range of tools – including Granicus, eBase/Verj.io, Drupal, WordPress, Monday and O365/SharePoint/Power apps.

You will have good communication and organizational skills and be able to work with a wide range of stakeholders and perspectives in different business contexts.

You are skilled in applying proven methods for the development of structured and open applications and able to assimilate and interpret advice from specialists – technical or not.

Familiarity with prototyping tools and techniques and automated software development tools will be advantageous.
