Our client, a large asset financier for whom we have placed many high performing business developers, not only in the UK but also in roles across Europe, is seeking an additional Business Development Manager based in South Birmingham to lead manufacturing asset finance activities.
Although you inherit some customers on your sales floor, we are looking for applications from genuine new bargain hunters who know how to solicit direct business and can sell at rates of 11.0% nominal and above.
Our client are experts in financing new and used manufacturing assets and although the average deal size is £120,000, outstanding deals exceed £2 million.
The expectations are realistic, ideally they ask you to provide a minimum of £6m per year of origins, but would be relaxed enough to allow you until the end of year 2 to provide that annual number.

You receive a monthly commission in areas with no barriers to cross before you win and with higher commission rates depending on the nominal rate at which you sell. (we are happy to disclose the different commission rates to candidates we wish to offer)
In addition to the monthly bonuses, you begin to qualify for the annual year-end bonuses when you have reached a volume of £6 million. (again, we are happy to disclose the value of these and at what volumes they are triggered to candidates we wish to offer)
Selling at an average of 11.0% nominal and an average term of 60 months and based on a median salary of £55,000 would earn you the following:
- For £4 million volume £71,650
- For £6 million volume £120,000
- For £12m volume £182,000
Note that we have excluded the 20% commission you receive on all documentation fees over £300 per transaction from the figures above, as we don’t want to assume how efficient you can be at selling documentation fees. documentation, but an average of 1% documentation. on just £6m in volume assuming an average trade size of £120,000 you would earn an additional £12,000 per year on top of the above.
Earnings are completely uncapped and of course all the usual big company benefits are of course provided, including a company car.
Our client’s top artists are writing >£20m a year, some at £25m and earning considerably over £300,000, that could be you in 3 years!
To apply, you must live anywhere from north of the home counties north to south Birmingham, east Cambridge or west Oxford. It’s you rather than your location that matters.
We are looking for people with a background in sustainable asset finance and of course with a track record of success and a real deal hunter mentality.
We are looking for those who are not afraid to ask clients to pay the same rates that the major brokers put out every day of the week and even higher if you can do that and generate your own offers then you are most likely that that we are looking for.
You must also be professional, organized, hardworking, focused and have a mentality of treating customers fairly, but most importantly you must be motivated to enjoy a high and completely uncapped income.
This opportunity is the closest thing to being an independent rental broker in terms of income, but without any of the risks of having no salary or benefits.
