Project Update: Bridge work along I-435 at Gregory Blvd. and Oldham Parkway causing traffic delays

JACKSON COUNTY – Motorists may experience traffic delays due to ongoing bridge repairs on Interstate 435 bridges on Gregory Blvd. and Oldham Parkway according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Currently I-435 southbound at Gregory Blvd. and Oldham Parkway is reduced to two lanes. This reduction of lanes could cause delays in the area, especially during peak hours, after events and after games from the Truman sports complex. Motorists are encouraged to take alternative routes during this time. Suggested alternatives are MO Route 350, I-70, and I-470. All work is subject to weather.

Be patient and considerate of your fellow motorists. Use slide merge and take turns at melting points. Remember that all work areas are NO TELEPHONE ZONES. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive alive. For potential traffic impacts, please see KC Scout cameras at or check out our real-time traffic partner, WAZE.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and be careful when driving in construction areas. Not all work areas are the same. Work areas can be mobile operations, such as plotting, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
