An Atlanta-based developer has opened what will be the largest industrial park in the San Antonio area. Oakmont Industrial Group opened a speculative 639,595 square foot industrial park with multiple loading docks called Oakmont 410 last week on April 12, according to a press release.

The facility is off San Antonio’s main freeway at 542 SE Loop 410 and will include 70 staging areas, 334 trailer parking spaces and up to 406 parking spaces for other vehicles. Houston-based NAI Partners will lease space at the facility, which is expected to be completed by December. NAI claims this is their biggest industrial development to date.

VanTrust Real Estate LLC is also working on the Cornerstone Commerce Center at Interstate 10 and Ackerman Road, Express-News reports. The Cornerstone development will have room for over 600,000 square feet in its second phase.

“We have long been optimistic for Texas in general, and expect Oakmont 410 to be leased quickly given the continued strong demand for warehouse and distribution center products from retailers and logistics providers as they have need a quality space closer to consumers,” said Tom Cobb, Oakmont’s senior vice president of development, in the press release.

Oakmont 410 will neighbor select other corporate distribution centers including Amazon, HEB, XPO Logistics, McLane Foodservice, The Home Depot and Dollar General.
